and the information about assessing health literacy developed by the U.S. Indian Health Services  found at

Review a patient education document available at your workplace (or one you received as a patient) or a consumer health education web site and evaluate this piece of educational material for readability, cultural competency, and appropriateness for the intended audience. This is not a discharge form or a consent form.  Have a patient and/or lay person (not in healthcare) give you feedback on the usefulness of this educational document. Do not use this in a teaching session. Describe  the document or web page in detail (e.g., font, use of color, photos, use by a variety of patient groups, etc.).  Provide your evaluation of the document and the feedback you received from your patient and/or lay person. What are some suggestions you would make to improve the usability of the information you evaluated?

Instructions:
Upload this assignment as a word document using APA format (title page and body of paper). No abstract is necessary. Include a reference list if you cite any resources within your paper. Complete and submit the assignment by 23:59 EST Sunday. A general expectation is that the paper is 2-3 pages in length.
