Does anyone have any solid ways they do in order to deal with their personal stress?
As said in the directions, we are instructed to ask a question about stress. We all feel stress, and we all handle stress in our own ways. I was wondering if anyone would like to share their own personal ways they deal and manage stress in their own lives.
In my own life I found few individual ways to manage my stress. The first think I do is understand what I am stressed about. For example, if I am stressed for a test, am I stressed because I do not know the material or do I think the test will be difficult. Next I act on my evaluation. If I do not know the material then I study and if their nothing I can do I work on not letting it bother me. Also, I found unrelated activities are helpful such as sleeping, exercising, and diet. If we maximize those three aspects, I found that stress you feel is more manageable and sometimes less frequent.
Do something that will get my mind off of the thing causing stress.
Everyone deals with stress in their own ways. The way people deal with stress don’t always help others. I deal with stress by staying away from the thing that is causing me stress. For example, if it is school, I stop doing school work and do something that will get my mind off of it.
Usually, I find that reading a book is how I deal with stress. I don’t really read, but it helps me deal with stress. When I am stressed, I like to be alone. Reading helps me get my mind off the thing that is causing me stress.
Also, I find that when I’m reading, it relaxes me. Usually, I will read for like 30 minutes to clear my mind. If school is stressing me out, I will read a book for 30 minutes. After 30 minutes I will go back to doing school work.
If reading doesn’t help, I will take a break from doing anything for the rest of the day. I will stop doing anything for the rest of the day and take a mental health day for myself. I usually find reading something to be very helpful. Some things I do during mental health days is just to relax and watch a movie or tv show.
